Electric Cryotherapy Chamber: Nitrogen-Free, down to -130°C $79,000.00

Full specifications

Electric Whole-Body Cryotherapy Chamber: Nitrogen-Free, down to -130°C

A walk-in, whole-body cryotherapy chamber cooled entirely by electricity. There is no liquid nitrogen anywhere in the system. The chamber reaches -130°C with a refrigeration compressor, so the user stands in dry, cold air with the head inside the chamber and breathes normal room air throughout the session.

Electric vs. Nitrogen Cryotherapy

Most cryotherapy units on the market are cooled with liquid nitrogen. This chamber is not. The difference matters for safety, running costs and how the session feels:

  • No nitrogen in the air you breathe. Nitrogen units cool by releasing nitrogen vapour, which displaces oxygen. That is why they need oxygen sensors, ventilation and strict supervision. An electric chamber cools the air with a refrigeration system, so the oxygen level in the chamber stays the same as the room.
  • No nitrogen deliveries or storage. No tanks to refill, no supplier contracts and no pressurised containers on site. The chamber runs on mains power and a water supply.
  • Dry cold. No nitrogen mist, no wet clothing and no drying needed after the session.
  • Whole body, head included. Many nitrogen cryosaunas keep the head outside the cabin for safety reasons. Because the air here stays breathable, the whole body, including the head, is exposed to the cold.

Electric chambers cost more to buy than nitrogen units. They need an industrial-grade ultra-low-temperature refrigeration system to reach -130°C, rather than relying on a supply of liquid nitrogen. In return, there are no ongoing nitrogen costs: the chamber runs on electricity and water only.

All-in-One Design

The refrigeration system, compressor cooling, controls and treatment chamber are built into one unit. Many electric chambers are split systems with a separate compressor unit and cooling tower, sometimes in a dedicated machine room. This chamber needs none of that: on site it only has to be connected to power, a water inlet and a drain.

Core Technology

Single-Compressor Auto-Cascade Refrigeration

Reaching -130°C normally takes several compressors working in stages. This chamber uses auto-cascade technology: one German-made Bitzer compressor and an HFC mixed refrigerant cool the chamber in several temperature stages within a single circuit. With fewer compressors and fewer components, there are fewer parts that can fail. The compressor sits on vibration-isolating mounts to keep vibration away from the chamber.

Direct Wall Cooling, No Fans

The cold is produced by the chamber walls themselves rather than blown in by fans. There is no forced airflow and no cold draught inside the chamber. The cold spreads evenly through radiation and contact with the cold surfaces, so the user feels still, deep cold rather than wind.

Insulated Chamber with Thermal-Break Frame

The chamber walls combine a high-density foam core with layers of aerogel insulation. The outer shell and door frame use a thermal-break construction, so there is no direct cold path to the outside. This keeps the outer surface dry and free of condensation and frost, and means the compressor needs to run less to hold the temperature.

Water-Cooled Compressor

The compressor is cooled with water. Two setups are available:

  • Direct water (standard): connects to a normal tap water inlet and a gravity drain. Flow is about 5 L/min (0.3 m³/h) while the compressor runs. A built-in valve stops the water automatically when cooling is not needed. Recommended inlet water temperature: 4–40°C.
  • Circulating water (optional, extra cost): water circulates between the chamber and a separate cooling water storage unit, so no drain is needed.

The compressor shuts down automatically if the water supply stops or the flow becomes too low.

Safety & Monitoring
  • Wearable vital-signs monitor tracking heart rate, blood oxygen, body temperature and body position during the session, shown live on the operator tablet
  • Oxygen monitoring
  • Emergency stop buttons
  • Precise temperature control, set anywhere from 0°C down to -130°C
  • Session length set to 3 or 5 minutes

Operation
  • 15.6-inch touchscreen on the chamber
  • Remote control tablet for the operator
  • Remote technical support through the tablet
  • Simple use: set the temperature and start the compressor; the chamber cools down on its own
  • Scheduled pre-cooling: program the start time up to 24 hours ahead, so the chamber is at temperature when staff arrive
  • Interior LED light strip
  • Delivered fully assembled, no on-site build
  • Protective gloves and boots included
  • Maintenance: wipe up the defrost water with a towel or mop

Important Safety Information

Whole-body cryotherapy exposes the body to extreme cold. Sessions should always be run by trained staff, with the operator present for the full session. Users must wear dry protective clothing on the hands, feet and ears (gloves and boots are included), and remove all jewellery and wet clothing. Not suitable for people who are pregnant or who have cardiovascular conditions, uncontrolled high blood pressure, cold allergy, Raynaud's syndrome or open wounds. Users with any health condition should consult a healthcare provider first.

This is a wellness device, not a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.

FAQ

Light only works on the skin it actually reaches, so any area covered by clothing receives little or no treatment. For full body sessions most people wear minimal clothing or underwear, and always the supplied eye protection. Wear whatever you are comfortable in, and simply expose the areas you want to treat.

Most full body sessions run between 10 and 20 minutes, three to five times a week. Higher irradiance systems reach the same dose in less time. Consistency matters more than session length: results build over weeks of regular use rather than in a single session.

Our beds deliver four to five clinically studied wavelengths, typically 633 nm and 660 nm in the red range and 810 nm, 850 nm and 940 nm in near-infrared. Red wavelengths act closer to the surface for skin, while near-infrared penetrates deeper for muscle, joint and circulatory applications. The exact set for this model is listed in the comparison table above.

Full body systems typically run on 220V and are hardwired by default, with a plug option available depending on your country. Exact dimensions, weight and power draw for this model are listed in the comparison table. Send us your room measurements and we will confirm fit and electrical requirements before you order.
